Duties and Responsibilities Regular duties include all aspects of water production, treatment, storage, instrumentation and control operations of a Class 2 water treatment and Class 2 water distribution system.Perform required utility tests, checks and sampling at the WTP and the rural system.Maintain, repair and clean the WTP and all buildings in the system.Conduct daily inspections to ensure effective operations.Maintain and repair the chemical treatment processes.Keep accurate daily logs.Maintain inventories and reports.Provide reports to government agencies, departments and other organizations as required.Conduct inspections of mechanical equipment, generators, electrical and other building components and systems.Weed maintenance on the rural system and at the wells.Ensure an adequate supply of water for human consumption and firefighting activities.Meter reading and service work as required.Demonstrate competency in safe work practices, knowledge and understanding of occupational hazards, safety precautions, regulations and procedures.Must be able to respond to emergency calls within 20 minutes.Other related duties as assigned.
