Municipality of Two Borders

The RM of Two Borders offers a wide variety of Geocaches hidden in the area for those who may be eager to go “seeking” some adventure.  Geocaching is a global treasure hunt using GPS coordinates used to track down caches with log books and treasures-you never know what you might find! Take a pen and some treasures to leave in caches so the fun continues! Geocaching has become very popular with all age groups.  You will find an array of caches in the area located on public property and near points of interest. Caches in the area range from large to micro, some are historical and guide you through the history of the area, some are just good old fashioned plastic containers hidden where a “muggle” would not normally venture.  Geocaching is a great outdoor family activity for all to enjoy! Circuit 30, established in 2003,  is a non-profit organization that offers 24/7 access to weights, treadmill, elliptical, squat rack and a tanning bed. Our gym serves a wide variety of ages and ability levels. Our current board consists of: Chair: Michelle Clark, Vice Chair: Jill Caldwell, Secretary: Cindy Horrigan and Treasurer: Declan Alphonso.

Pierson MB

The RM of Two Borders offers Canoe/Kayak paddlers several waterways with public access for their paddling enjoyment. Take a meander along the Gainsborough or the Graham Creek (depending on drought conditions) or hop into the little-bit-bigger Souris River at a variety of access points.  Within a 1 hour drive from the RM of Two Borders you can also check out Oak Lake Beach, Eternal Springs or the Assiniboine River.  Neighbouring Turtle Mountain Provincial Park provides a multitude of options for paddlers.  Spring, Summer and Fall are ideal seasons in Southwest Manitoba to get out and enjoy nature from on the water.

Bird Watcher's Paradise - Our area is widely known for its vast assortment of both east and west birds. Our wildlife management areas are heavily populated with birds such as: Ferruginous Hawk, Swainson Hawk, Turkey Vulture, Pheasant, Sharptailed Grouse, Grey Partridge, Short-eared Owl, Say's Phoebe, Loggerhead Shrike, Spragues Pipit, Eastern and Mountain Blue Birds, Bobolinks, Orchard Orioles, Lark Bunting. We have a wonderful area for wildlife hunters, with an abundance of White Tailed Deer. There have been increasing sightings of moose and occasionally even a black bear.

Baseball has always been a favoured past time for lots of the residents of the Municipality of Two Borders going back to the one room school days.  

In past days it was common to hear of ball tournaments in all corners of the municipality.

Pierson still runs an "All Ball Club" out of the Pierson ball park.  It is a small but mighty club, often being host to a few Rally Caps t-ball teams, along with a couple younger aged teams.  

In the past couple years, there has been a new team emerge.  They are called the Pierson Prowlers, a fastball women's team.
